Honda to Spawn More Civic Type R Variants?

Honda is hoping to widen the appeal of the Civic Type R by introducing more model variants of the new hot hatch.

The Civic Type R is defined by its radical styling, 306-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, and heavily reworked suspension. Honda wants expand on the package, however, with Civic chief engineer Hideki Matsumoto saying the automaker wants to maintain steady sales of the Type R by rolling out different models.

The closer the 2017 Honda Civic Type R is pushed to its outer limits, the sooner it becomes clear that this car is something special.

Hustle into a corner at, say, seven-tenths or more and there’s nary a hint of understeer, the sworn enemy of front-wheel drive. It’s the same story when mashing the accelerator at the apex, with torque steer virtually non-existent, the car pulling hard as it climbs through the gears.

So this is what all the hype’s been about.

2018 Honda Fit Gets a New Face, Added Safety Gear

Honda has revealed the 2018 Fit, sporting a new face and added safety equipment.

Besides the new look, the 2018 Honda Fit now packs Honda Sensing safety technology along with a new Sport trim.

Now available on LX, Sport and standard on EX trims and above, Honda Sensing is a suite of safety features that will help the driver avoid collisions. It includes lane keeping assist, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and road departure warning. Honda says that the Fit is the most affordable car in America to offer such a comprehensive suite of safety equipment.
