How are you liking your Civic!?? . . .

So I've had my 12' PPM Si Sedan for 8 months now and . . . I just wanted to say I really love my car! I loved it when I bought it but there was soooooooo much hate on the 9th Gen for a while so it put a damper on me. But 8 months later I love my car more than when I first bought it! I love the body lines, The PMM has really grown on me and the K24 sounds awesome stock.

Lately it also seems that the 9th Gen Civic has picked up a lot of momentum with popularity and sales. I've also noticed that the after market/performance parts has really picked up and looks like lots of parts are due to come out within a couple months. The Hondata Reflash was big.

Anyways that's my two cents and I hope many of you are pleased with your purchase.

I think with most redesigns (aside from the NSX) will get some negative press. And usually negative press is the one that sticks out. Most people only voice their opinions to complain and not praise. I like threads like yours, it makes me proud to own my car along with people like you!

As for my Civic, I too couldn't be any happier. I have had it since October and don't get to drive it often because I travel for work, maybe one or two days a week. But, aside from my fiance who I love so dearly, my Civic comes very close to the thing I want to take for a spin when I get home from a long job . The car is just amazingly fun to roll around town in and I get so many compliments you would think I'm driving an exotic car. When I finish with the jet ski I will start the slow process of making my Civic a little more unique.

Let's keep up the love, enjoy what you have and maybe I'll see some of you on the road!

I've had mine a few weeks but, aside from work and errands, today was the first time I've actually gone out for a legitimate drive for no particular reason other than just to play with it a bit. Took her for a rip on some twisty roads and it handled surprisingly well considering I'm rocking winter tires at the moment (which aren't exactly know for awesome handling).
While no one tried to talk me out of the civic, I got crapped on for paying the extra for the Si by my friends and family, but there was no way I could downgrade my HP and be happy (I was replacing an RSX type-S) and I'm glad I didn't listen when they tried to convince me otherwise. So far I really like it and I'm planning to keep it that way!

I've had my 2012 Civic EX sedan (Crimson Pearl - awesome color by the way) for exactly 4 weeks now and really love it! I've owned nothing but Honda vehicles since early 2002 and they truly are the "engineered" car. I've extensively test driven darn near every other make out there in the compact and subcompact class and nothing drives or feels like a Honda. I traded in a 2009 Civic LX sedan automatic that I bought brand new in November 2008 and the 2012 Civic feels more comfortable, more refined, and more advanced. I probably would have opted for another LX but I wanted the same 16" tires that were on my '09 LX. Weird how the 2012 LX tires went to 15's from the 8th gens 16's. Also got a rockin deal on the EX that I just couldn't pass up. $18,338 for the car (msrp is $21,275) and got 1.9% for 60 mos. Also got $10k for my trade with 45k miles. My payments actually dropped by $60 mo. I feel pretty good right now.

Can't complain here about my LX. Owned mine for 9 months, just gave it a wash today, and it is spot on awesome to look at. Especially with fogs on it, the car appeals more aggressively IMO compared to the 8ths. Fuel efficiency was a great plus and awesome for my commute to college so i cant complain and after all, its my first car and glad it is

    PS: The hate will fade

    @ MissE :

So did you turn the VSA off? I've found that when going on a spirited drive the car performs better when the VSA is off. Also when launching as I found out the hard way. Lol

I hope a lip kit comes out for the Si soon. I'm getting lowering springs in a few weeks so I'm excited for that!

I feel the same way Utah! Ive had mine since October and have loved it since. I did have an 8th gen FG2 before my FB6 and i do miss some little things from the old one like the extra compartments in the interior and the crack of the vtec.."BUT"...i will say that the more torque in this car makes up for alot of that and also like you said the body lines are awesome. The profile of this car is beautiful and i love starring at it lol. When more aftermarket parts come out in the next few months i already have money set aside for coilovers and a cold air and im even getting a retrofit in the near future as well. I love my FB6 and am going to keep it for a long time!!

    @ MITCH's SI :

Did you see the forum with the Redshift Coilovers on a Si Sedan? I posted some of the pics for 9th Gen Member Brown_Bear.

Something else I'd like to add is that the paint quality seems greatly improved compared to my previous 2009 Civic LX sedan model. Not sure if anyone else has noticed this compared to the 8th gen Civic's.
