    disappointed flashpro for r18

so just got my r18 flash pro and was soon to be disappointed when i opened the new calibration tab and there was nothing for my car. wasn't expecting much put a few pre tunes with intake and exhaust isnt too much to ask, they have them for the si. wasn't asking for pre tune forced induction she-sh.

    happen to any one else?

Only 16 cals? That's a lot on an eco motor that can be tuned in 6. What do you expect on that eco motor, 20hp with a tune? I've said this countless times over the years (starting with the 8th gen version), and every time I do, someone gets their feelings hurt: modifying an R18 is a waste of money.

Unless you turbo or supercharge it, then it's OK-ish as you'll actually see notable improvement.

Lol buys r18 and is upset it doesn't make good gains. Its an eco motor that was designed for nothing more than mileage and lasting forever. There is only so much that can be done with it.

Did you get a before and after E-dyno plot? What did it look like if you did? Curious!

It's a waste to buy a flashpro and use the preloaded cals because especially for us Si guys they are garbage and make the car run worse. Being disappointed with gains on a eco motor seems kinda silly, people have to realize it takes "alot" more then a intake and exhaust and a reflash to make a car fast, you need a custom tune, and for big power you need forced induction with "alot" of internal work because building for power is no joke.

doug (@hondata) was able to squeeze out about 157whp out of r18 with bolt-ons (no DP) & tune
