if you were to get a new intake, what would it be? any review of the greddy version? i believe it is the same with the takeda with a different filter inside.

i was using 93 then switched to 100 octane. cleaner gas, more power... but its $9.922 per gallon recently

Same intake and I'm pretty sure the filter is also the same

The greddy one I believe is the same thing, just a different filter and name like you said. I bought mine when there wasn't too many options out, except injen, and I've heard mixed reviews on that intake so I went with the takeda. I just wish it was a tad louder, I like the look of the K&N, but I'll probly stick with this intake for a while. I would love to get the skunk2 when it comes out.

ok... so today at work i drove a 2012 si with the afe intake on it... i like it, a good bit quieter than my K and N SRI, didnt rev over 4500 rpm or so, or give over 3/4 throttle out of respect for the customer. I do not like the placement of the MAF sensor on it, the inside of the bend is NOT where the sensor will get accurate readings, it should be on a straight portion of the piping... i have a buddy who is awesome with a welder, if i could cut the maf sensor mounting area out, patch it, cut a hole in the straight portion that would be PERFECT. can someone PLEASE do me a solid and measure the size of the MAF mounting area, then measure how long the straight portions of the pipe are, id like to have it right next to the filter if theres enough room. can anyone give me some measurements ? thanks in advanced, i really appreciate it. going to have my K and N up for sale soon likely
