    2013 Si Sedan Performance

    Hey guys,

drove home from the lake today and had my AC on pretty high. I noticed my acceleration a little off.

I feel a little bit of jump between 3-4000 rpm on 3/4th gear. I find the power is not quite linear when stepping on the gas in general. Almost like it stutters a bit.

When I drove with the AC off, I noticed the power band back to normal. Anyone else notice this on their Si?

two simple things you can do to help alleviate the issue. one, use 93 octane gas or pure gas, whichever is available near you. secondly, turn the econ off. with the tight engine bay, the high heat and lack of space for the air to cool it, the engine bay can't keep cool and the intake is sucking in very hot air. (heat soak).

more involved solution & costly, you could install a CAI, but then i think you need a tune or reset the ECU as well.

other's could weigh in on the CAI and if a tune is necessary. i'm not absolutely positive on that.
