    I GOT IT TO WORK!!!!
last week i finally got the correct things i needed for the install and did the whole install in under a whole day
(about 3 hours for schematics research, about 3 hours to built the wire sections needed to add, and about 7.5 hours to install in car).
bought the unit, had to purchase a new frame because the one it came with was bad. bought the gps antenna, and a honda navi unit pigtail with the one connector i needed which was connector E the 16 pin one for navi units!

will be making a post or album explaining all my steps, hopefully it will be helpful to some.

Great work, but what did you do with these wires from the B Connector? They are the DUET signal wires that seem to only exist on non-NAVI cars. Thanks!

could not find where the DUET wires go, tried a few different things out not any luck. the only thing that changed was i lost the audio notification on the imid top ribbon. now just solid color. makes me wounder if the imid needs to be from a navi as well?

Why bother? Thats old technology. You can buy a modern(aftermarket) stereo/navigation unit that is plug and play and have no issues.

When this thread was originally made, there were no aftermarket options. That has changed considerably.
