So I now have an exhaust leak at the well known, low hanging, middle flange in my Q300. I noticed it sounding a little different yesterday on startup and put my hand next to it only to feel a draft coming from the gasket in between. I'll see if I can get it on a lift at work sometime this week and check out what needs to be done not only to eliminate the leak but also to bring the exhaust up from hanging so low. I'm not sure if its as easy as cutting, rotating, and re-welding the flange connecting to the downpipe or not. I also prefer to get rid of the middle flange all together and get a pipe welded in instead.

Anybody got any shops that are good with exhaust piping? I think Karim got his middle flange replaced with pipe, like I plan on doing, at Garage5.

Funny you say cause I've always wondered how the flange will hold up from being scraped every so often. I'm surprised mine has held up for so long. I like the Q300 by the low hanging mid section and the rattling are annoying.

I'd ask this question to www.revscene.net , there's a larger audience there who might be able to help. Alternatively, you could go on Facebook and ask Valley Car Club

I've heard that ceramic paint finish stuff is pretty good too, plus it doesn't have that immediate clear bra look. Or just don't put anything on, paint chips build character

Can any of you peeps recommend a good body shop that deals with ICBC claims? I got rear ended 2 days ago and mostly will want to get a front lip painted at the same time.

The only one I've been to is also one that I am not going to recommend. Don't go to Tristar Collision in Richmond. They have great service, and great turnaround time. Usually deals with higher end cars, but for some reason, my rear bumper was not perfectly paint matched. That being said, it's almost impossible to get it perfect and I didn't notice until about 6 months later.

I'm not sure if they'll do a lip as well, I've heard shops cutting down on that. But if you do find one lmk, I got a spoiler that needs a repaint.
