    Transmission problems

I recently noticed that my clutch is a lot harder than other models. I was wondering if I have a bad clutch and if I need to change the transmission fluid. Is there anyway to diagnose what is happening to my car. When I shift, it is also harder than other models.

    Welcome to 9th gen.

When you say harder, do you mean the clutch pedal takes more force to push down than other cars? Is it harder to push down than it was in the recent past? Same questions for the shift lever.

When was the last time the trans fluid was changed? It should be done every 30k miles. If you don't know the car's service history, change the fluid. That may not be the cause of your problem, but it should be changed, regardless.

If you do know the car's service history, and the fluid has been changed considerably less than 30k miles ago, then disregard the above paragraph as it pertains to your issue.

I bought it second hand, so I don't know that much about it, but it has almost 26k miles on it. When I got the car, it been hard to press than other manual. My friend has the same year as mine which is a 2015 Honda Civic Si, but her car is more softer than mine. I'm just wondering why it is like that. I heard it could either be trans fluid or clutch fluid. I don't really know which is the main source for the problem, but I'm waiting to get more responses to make a decision.

I would change trans fluid and master cylinder fluid as a start. It's not expensive to do either.
