You can throw parts at the problem based on educated guessing: brake and clutch pedal position switches, the main set/resume/cancel switch, etc... but that will get expensive quick.

Are you positive the cruise control cancels, then resets without an input from you?

You mention the problem occurs on rough roads. How repeatable is the problem under rough road conditions?
It definitely cancels. I can occasionally restart it by pressing "set", but more times than not I need to wait 10 -20 minutes before I can reset it. I wish it happened every time I hit rough roads, but it doesn't. Very frustrating.

Are there any CEL/ABS lights to help diagnose the issue? Also are you going above 35 mph when attempting to set CC? (I didn't read the old posts, so pardon me if this is a broken record).
Nope, no CEL, ABS, or any other lights on the dash...other than the cruise control! Yes, going over 35 mph.

Do you have a volt/ohm meter?
If so test the brake and clutch pedal position switches, cheap and easy...

Wanted to provide an update to help others who may have this problem. Turned out to be the Clutch Switch Assembly wasn't being fully depressed when the clutch is released. This explains why the cruise would cut out on rough roads. The clutch pedal would move ever so slightly to trip the plunger on the clutch switch assembly.

thank you for coming back and updating us all. so many ask for help, it's provided...then never hear if the issue was resolved and what exactly was the issue.

so, i presume an adjustment on the switch assembly was done and all is good now?

Tried to adjust, but wasn't able to. So, I superglued a rubber ceramic tile spacer to the pad on the clutch pedal and it worked wonders.

    Same issue!

I am having this same issue and took it to the dealer with my 13 Civic SI (stock). The dealer quoted me for replacing the clutch assembly, $1,800. I would LOVE cheaper fix, if it truly is the same thing. The dealer said it was an issue with the clutch being worn, and engaging when it should not during cruise control. Where exactly did you glue the tile? Do you have photos? Is this something that can be done with minimal tooling/knowledge?

    Thank you!
