I have a 2012 Civic EX with nav stock.

Currently it has a 5 channel alpine amp running off high inputers from the rear speakers. (I know garb but how it came)
Comes with a rear camera and XM antenna (already has XM as well)
Just wondering what the best steering wheel kit i could get and mounting kit?
I've seen axxess and Maestro. Dont really know the difference.
I know I wont be able to retain IMid display. Just wondering if anyone knows exact part numbers i should get for install.

i did already three(3) radio replacements on various honda with and without nav and with and without amp.

bough JVC and sony with apple carplay and android auto. I found out that Sony is not idata maestro compatible (so i used metra axxess for this install).

So the following are some notes that might help you:
1) on my 2013 civic hf/non premium audio replacement experience:
a) Steering wheel controllers (SWC) from Metra axxess should suffice if you're concern with retaining steering wheel controls (for both HandsFree HFT and Audioremote/volume). I data link do not have an SWC for the honda civic 2012/13 - they do for the much complex adapters (which shows obdii data as well - not recommended)

b) just go to metra axxess website and you should be able to download and learn how to wire the swc
c) regarding the MID controls - this will still retain original controls as long as you use the axxess SWC. the MID screen will retain vehicle information, clock, reverse camera, oil reset etc if you succeeded in setting up the axxess SWC. FOr now i did not transfer the reverse camera to my new radio. maybe next time
d) are your amp factory installed or after market ? If factory installed, there is a corresponding adapter from metra for that

I have a 13 Si, with the premium and nav. I do want to change it out, but this model camera shows on the nav screen. Do you know which wires at the back would allow me to retain the stock camera. I assume there would be a wire(s) for the video and a trigger wire when the car goes in reverse.
