Painted chrome grill on 2012 w/pics

Like a lot of us the chrome look is a little much on the 2012's grill. I decided to do the chrome and grill slats too. I wasn't trying for the Si "look"or any particular look, just a change for the better Ihope. The color is Acura NH643M Anthracite Grey metallic.

    Very subtle. I like it.

I taped off everything around it with 3M green tape which took about an hour rather than take the whole grill out. I lightly sanded the chrome piece after removing the wax on it with a solvent I have laying around. You MUST get all the wax off, otherwise the paint will "fisheye". The solvent preps the plastic slats too. What you see is about three coats of paint.

The Acura NH643M Anthracite Grey metallic is very sharp. I am blacking out the little chrome on my 13 Ex-L with vinyl wrap as well as the emblems.
