ABS system stuck on 2012 Civic sedan stock

ABS system activated, but does not shut off, even with key off. Car is long way from home with son. Anyway to deactivate this situation to allow safe travel, without ABS brakes?

I am confused. You mean the ABS is pulsing the brakes at all times, even when not touching the brake pedal?

Assuming that you still have regular brake action, and it's just ABS you don't have... First thing is to check that you have brake fluid -- the reservoir is on the driver's side, under the hood, near the firewall.

If you don't have ABS, that probably also means you don't have VSA (stability system). The car can still be driven, but realize you're back to 1970's level of technology. So you'll want to be VERY careful.

If you're driving on ice & snow -- well, maybe you ought to tow it, just to be safe.

Safe is a relative term when disabling a driving aid system.
A flat bed transport will be the SAFEST way to get the car to the dealer, just say'n

But to strictly address the part of the question asking is there a way, the answer is yes, disconnect the power supply to the ABS/VSA modulator.
In the under hood fuse box; remove fuses A1-4 and A1-3 both are 30 amp and are hot at all times

Fully understand that with those fuses removed, if equipped, ABS, VSA, EBD and EBA WILL NOT FUNCTION.
So the onus of safety is on you.

Thanks for the suggestion. He is seven hours away. Dealer told him this morning it was safe to drive, and is a recurring problem Honda is aware of, and have issued a bulletin to dealerships, but would take two days to get parts. Have passed your suggestion to him to try, as the abs pump continues full time, which was designed for intermittant use only. don't need the pump burning out too.

    Thanks again.

Pump and controller; it's all one unit so would not matter.
