So last night I am cruising on the 10 West in Redlands. I nailed a tire ramp on the freeway... I was the last of about 20-25 cars to hit this thing. So I pull over. Both left tires are toast (chunks missing from tires) and at least one rim is gone as is has a quarter size chunk missing. :(...

so what is the best combination for performance, light weight 17" x7" wheels (lets say 14lbs less the tires) or larger 18"x8+ or 19"+ heavier wheels (ive seen 22lbs 19"s less the tires) of course with lighter tires as well. thanks for any input
