I've been having similar thoughts as the OP. I love my Si, but I can't keep from thinking I might have been happier if I had went with a TSX or even an EX-L Accord. The Si is a blast to drive, but part of me longs for a smoother, less bumpy ride, a quieter cabin and more luxury features like leather seats, more refined interior, etc. I think my taste in cars might be maturing a bit. I came from a Mazda 6 which is by no means a luxury car, but it just felt more "solid" than the Civic. Probably due in large part to the extra wheelbase length, and slightly higher profile tires. I really don't miss the Mazda, per se, but I'm now thinking I should have at least driven a TSX (probably used) or an Accord. I really wanted something with a great track record of quality and reliability, was fun to drive and got good MPGs. The Civic certainly fits that description, but I might be looking of more "substance" than the Si can deliver.

Had the TSX and personally,it was the easiest car to get bored with, but mine was with an automatic transmission. If I get another Acura, it has to have manual transmission. Nothing bad about the TSX. Just a bit too refined that it lacked rawness and fun which the Si offered. Almost bought the V6 Accord Coupe A/T but didn't care for the seats and the steering felt heavy after driving the TSX and TLs.
