I think the best bang for buck would have been to stack up all your parts and then go for the tune, but if your car isn't running that good, you got two options I think:

  • go back to stock downpipe in the meantime you get all the sicc parts (performance restored)
  • tune for the downpipe installation now, and once you have the rest of your parts, tune again (might hurt the wallet)

I second what Ray suggested. Also, never go "cheap".

Mainly trying to see if anyone can tune for 200$ everyone wants double and that's not a fair price to me. It cost 400$ to install the parts from the shop as I didn't have the time and it isnt worth that to spend to Uninstall it. I also don't wanna pay that much for a tune.
Main choice I have rn is to tune it but for a better cost. And if anyone can provide that. I will start to save up parts before install here on out. but I definitely wanted this downpipe on as soon as I got it. Can anyone help😥

So it's not a fair price (Nice job insulting people who tune for a living) because you misspent your money, ignored advice, and now can't afford to properly finish or correct the work? You also want to gamble someone is going to give you a good remap for half-price?

The entitlement... Step back from this and take some responsibility, please.

You must understand, and should have know, that upgrading to performance parts and getting a proper tune was going to be costly. It's not fair to expect someone to work for half price because you didn't budget your expenses properly.

I suggest going with what Ray suggested and downgrading back to what works until you can save up for a proper tune.

I'm not under valuing anyone's work. It's just what I think is a fair price. I've only asked one person. I would assume someone would be willing to work for a price I think is fair. I'm not insulting anyone or begging for someone to correct my mistake. I knew it would need a tune. I knew it would cost money. What I value things at is my choice. If someone can accommodate to that price that'll work great. If not I'll.keep searching. Don't need to be so rude.

I'm not expecting anyone to go half price. This is what I was told was the cost from one company can someone give me a better price is what I am asking. What I am willing to pay is 200. Cad. Everyone is American based and is asking 300 American. I don't live in America. I'm seeing if people can help. Why does everyone assume I am forcing people to bend over backwards for me when I am asking to see if anyone will help. It's called a feeler.
@BWill9886 I never misspent my money either. They put a basemap on and I just wanted to correct the tune and asked for help. If anyone can work for this price is all. No one is being insulted.

i am responsible for buying an exhaust and for asking for help. I'm actually frustrated that you think I ignored everyone's help. i have been super tedious to taking advice and making myself admit when I've done wrongs. yes i should have piled up more parts together before installing the downpipe. but I don't regret installing the downpipe sooner. I just need a tune to run smoother. I'm not entitled to think someone would give me a better deal then one company.. i have more then enough to finish this if need be. i think everyone looks for a deal before jumping to the most expensive option. there is zero entitlement and i am always open to opinions. I'm not open to jumping to conclusions tho...

i have enough for a tune. i don't wanna spend 400$ though. anyone do better prices? or is everyone charging 400$.

not a crap tune. a cheaper then 400$ tune.
I've never seen anyone on this forum offering tunes, except Vit Viper but that's a long story. So you might be barking up the wrong tree. But yeah in the grand scheme of things, inflation is up, labor costs are up. You don't really get to set the price. Local tuning might be cheaper, because it's 1-shot instead of passing maps and logs back and forth for months.

You can probably get one that cost less, but keep in mind, the cheaper (less expensive) route you take, the more likely it's going to cost you more in the long run.

Personally, I rather pay more now than pay even more later.

Thank you. I'll consider talking to the same company about working with me then. If anyone is interested in helping me. I would be willing to see what can be offered in the mean time.
