I bought a aftermarket harness for my car that wires right up to the pioneer head unit and plugs right into my factory plug for my radio all I had to do was just match all the colors for the wires. The front speakers work but my rear deck speakers and sub don't. Any clue as to why? Was I supposed to unplug the factory amp or what? Any help is appreciated

On the newer Pioneer's I've used, there is a setting in the sound menu for turning the sub output and the rear speakers on and off. Have you checked that?

I'm pretty sure the sub always defaults to off from a first time startup/restart but I can't remember if the rear speakers do as well.

Yeah on Alpines too. It could really be something as simple as that.

I haven't had much time to go through everything the head unit does but why would the rear highs and mids not work if the sub output is off or can you turn them on and off separately? I'm putting 2 15's in the trunk. (Still installing) I haven't had a system in my car in like 20 years. I've forgotten what everything does. I'll check tomorrow though about the output being off, thanks for the advice!

They are separate settings, yes.
