Hi, I am experiencing an issue with my Civic, the Speedometer is fluctuating, and I am in 6th gear manual transmission car is asking to shift up and not displaying correct speed

Hello!

The hatchback models never came to US, but maybe you have a malfunctioning speed sensor that's causing your speedometer to fluctuate. If you don't feel odd jerks/sudden deceleration/acceleration, it shouldn't be an issue of safety. In the meantime you get the sensor inspected and maybe replaced, simply stay around the same speed as other drivers around you.

Does your car throw any check engine lights? Maybe a diagnostic tool to scan the car would be a good idea.

Thank you so much your response I much appreciate your time. There is no warning or check engine light, the drives fine, no odd jerks/sudden deceleration/acceleration.

The is booked in tomorrow at Honda dealership for the diagnostics.
