2013 Si coupe exhaust recommandation?

240 Views 3 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Whiskeysim
So I just bought a new SI this week and I was wondering what would be the best way for it to be quieter? right now it is running a 3inch catless downpipe and a 3inch yonaka catback. What would be the best solution without being too expensive?

Get an exhaust shop to weld in a vibrant ultraquiet resonator it should help a good amount, but it wont completely fix the problem. If you want anything close to stock sound levels you need to get a different exhaust (invidia Q300 or similar), add a muffler (that's not N1 style), or go back to stock setup. Cheapest option is to add the resonator and see if its tolerable then.

Adding a cat to the downpipe (or replacing w/ catted DP) would also help some, but that would require a tune to make sure the car is running at max efficiency w/ the increase exhaust restriction from the cat.

Go back to stock and call it a day.

Yeah, if you're looking to really quiet down your car, you're better off just returning to stock like Kev said. Your best bet would be to try and find someone with the same car as you that would want to swap their stock exhaust for your modified.
