Im having some buyers remorse worries!

I wouldn't really call it buyers remorse, but more like buyers worry remorse.

Essentially I own a 2014 Civic Sedan, however this is the first model year of the Civic that has a CVT. And i've heard some horror stories. I have owned the car for 7 days....but it's honestly starting to worry me for in the future, since CVT technology isn't exactly "modern" i suppose. Plus I know Nissan had a TON of problems with it.

Im wondering if i've made a mistake? The CVT FEELS nice...but man I dunno. Anyone know anything about the Honda CVTs?

Drain and fill?
Or fluid flush using a machine of some kind?

I just assumed its a drain and fill since i got the error code "A" (A13)

Don't let them sell you a "Flush" done by a flushing machine.

Well, My 2014 Honda civics' cvt lasted 153,000 miles, but I always changed the fluid on time, so I felt it should have lasted longer. But I think it depends on how you drive as well. I liked to drive fast sometimes, but still, most of the time, I drove normal and always used cruise control to better manage speed, which usually took strain off the transmission. So if you buy one, baby it, and do not expect it to last as long as the old ones prior to cvt's.
Just checking in.

Just over 75,000 miles on my 2015 Civic Lx. I’m driving a lot less now since I started working hybrid when Covid hit.
Anyway, I just completed my third DIY CVT drain and fill.
Still running smooth, no issues.
Also be sure to inspect your vent tube on a regular basis. Mine was clogged up this time. And fill plug is secured with a zip tie just in case.
