The 2016 Honda Civic Coupe has been revealed with sexy new curves.

While much of the mechanical gear remains the same compared to the Civic sedan, the Coupe offers a sloped roofline and a new set of proportions to make it the sexy option in the Civc lineup. The Coupe has a wheelbase that is 2.9-inches longer than the sedan, a 1.9-inch wider body, shorter overhangs and sits roughly one inch lower than the four door car.

In the rear, a new rear taillight that sweeps across the entire deck lid has been included, while inside, space grows by 8.4 cubic feet compared to the previous car, while rear seat legroom is increased by five inches.

Soft-touch materials along with contrast stitching can be found throughout the interior while a new seven-inch display audio system sits in the dash. For technology, the coupe can be equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with the entire Honda Sensing suite of safety technology.

Just like the sedan, the 2016 Honda Civic Coupe will offer two engines, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 158 hp and 138 lb-ft of torque along with a new 1.5-liter turbocharged four pot that makes 174 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque. Fuel economy for the turbo engine is pegged at 31 mpg in the city, 42 on the highway for a combined 35 mpg, while the 2.0-liter engine should get 31 mpg in the city and 41 on the highway for a combined 35.

Honda still has a few Civic variants under wraps, including the hatchback, Si and Type R models, which will be arriving sometime in the next year or so.

I like it. It's not perfect but it's really nice. I like the old Prelude's and of course my old DC2. The last 2 gen coupes are little bubbles, but this one is looking more the way I like them.

The coupe's wheelbase isn't 2.9 inches longer than the sedan, it's 2.9 inches longer than the previous coupe.

Merged.

I can say that I like the new coupe better than the sedan. But do I like it better than the 9th gen coupe? I don't think so.

I think that I like it. I'm not sure about the rear yet but I bet it will look nice in person. I see LOTS of similarities to the 9th gen still, but why fix it if it ain't broken?

I think it is a fantastic looking car. Tad much on the chrome unibrow but other than that it is a very bold design from Honda. Undoubtably it probably looks better with the spoiler than without but still very solid.

Throw on a new set of wheels and tires and I'm sure I'll like it more. Those look hideous.

Hate the exhaust, how it goes down & under. They should have just stuck with the damn centered exhaust or built them into the rear like so:

Every new generation they tease us with a centered exhaust... Just make it already, damnit!
