I put in a k&n filter along with a p2p throttle body spacer and I'm very pleased. Throttle response is better, power is up, and the exhaust sounds better
The sound is from the intake sucking in more air. The gain I am guessing 3-5 at the engine cause of the filter and they are clamming 6@the wheels from the spacer
Nice. Some people say the Spacer doesn't make a difference but since you own one I'll trust your judgement! So I think I'll order one after I order my lowering springs.
how hard was the install for the spacer? just got my injen cai installed today but they didn't have time to do the spacer and wondering if its an easy install.
It was really easy the tools needed are 10mm, 12mm, and a 13mm sockets with a 3" extension a phillips screw driver
And a pair of needle nose pliers for a few hoses
I got mine from throwdown and as far as mpg I never tried to get the best millage I only drive my car two days a month do to my job, so I fly around 70% vtec at least I race it a lot
What are thoughts of a spacer on an LX 1.8? I don't mind about the HP but if it increases throttle response that's something I'm definitely interested in. thanks
bobbygil79,
I have read a lot of mixed reviews on throttle body spacers. Give me your honest opinion.
- What did you notice after having it on know for a few weeks?
- Did your mpg improve?
- Was the spacer worth it?
- Was the k&n filter worth it in place of the paper one
- Did you contact your Honda Dealer to see if the tbs will void your warranty?
I keep hearing Honda will void your warranty if you add any bolt-ons like tbs, cai, exhaust, etc...
Thanks!
Bolt-ons don't void your warranty from what I was told by the dealer, I don't care about mpg I fly around as stated above^^^ I make $80+ grand a year I don't care about gas prices I only have drove My car about 5 times since Christmas
Yeah, I'm on my phone but I swear I saw a header/down pipe that you could get straight piped or with a high flow cat. Would be a nice addition while putting on the new exhaust.
He you might not have a base rating currently but you could see where your at. Why not..you seen to make enough to afford a dyno . Should give it a shot some time. Take care
I have been thinking about the P2R spacer but my K&N SRI is soo snug that I wonder if the TBS will fit? Does anyone have the K&N SRI and a TBS, if so, did you have to modify the SRI tube to fit the TBS?
Aaaaaahhhhh screw it! I just bought one and I'll make modification to the SRI if necessary.
