I had 17x9 25 off set. It fit.. But i just didnt like the look that much while others loved it. To much of set made the wheel over extend a little bit from the fender. One thing thou i had no suspension.

PS
I think they will fit.. Post pics when u get it done. It should look bad a$¡

It would fit. +45 off sets aren't aggressive.

Why would you not want 8.5" on a coupe? I would love it if the my Mugen GP's were wider than 7.5".
Well why doesn't Honda just make the car with 18x8.5" then? They effect performance. Too much rolling mass. A 17x8" is perfect for the new Civic. Bigger is not always better, and most times looks stupid.

When you say rolling mass, do you mean tread/pavement contact surface area? Because there are light weight 8.5" wheels out there. But agreed, the wider the wheel, the more it contacts the road which equals more friction. (Great for performance, not so great for gas mileage)

What does the +45 offset mean. What size does the stock come with? What size would be wide enough just to be aligned with the body of the car?

Rim offset, akawheel offset, is the distance from the hub mounting surface to the centerline of the wheel.

Wheel offset measurement is defined in three different ways. Zero offset occurs when the hub mounting surface is completely even with the centerline of the wheel. Positive offset means that the hub mounting surface is toward the face of the wheel, while negative offset means the surface is toward the inside or brake side of the wheel.

Ill be running 18x9 45mm with 5mm spacer at all fours making it 18x9 +40. Im running 215-40-18 rubber as a 45 is too big and throws the cars km/h-mph off too much!

Id post pics but aint no way in hell i gonna put the set up on the car b4 i get my coils ;)

Sorry to revive this but i have some wheels that came off my old bmw the fronts are 19x8 35 and the rears are 19x9 40 offset no way in hell i would get these to work with adapters right? And yes i know 19's are a bit overkill but if i can spend 100 bucks on adapters compared to 1200 on rims id be a happy camper
