I have a set of Avid Av6 (18x8 +35) with a 235/40/18 tire on it that I had installed on my previous speed3. The tires are in great condition and the bolt pattern is the same. Id like to throw them on my ‘13 Si coupe but can’t seem to find in the search a for sure answer if they’ll fit. I’ve heard conflicting arguments that it’s either too big and will rub or is fine and will not be a problem. I’m on stock suspension and don’t plan on lowering till later whenever I get a smaller tire. Like a 225. I’m aware the tire is taller and will affect the speedo, just more worried about rubbing. Whenever I search for I go on this tire, a lot have a 8.5 or 9 inch wide wheel. Can’t find much on an 8 inch wide wheel.
-Thanks

Mazda bolt pattern 5x114.3 same as Honda so those wheels will fit also should not rub on stock suspension.

Should fit on stock suspension. Tires are a bit tall so it might look like a 4wd.
Would likely rub if you lower at all.

Thanks, yeah I'm aware the height will be lifted a bit. Just thought I'd live. with it for a bit till I get around to newer tires later down the road. But sounds good that they'll work!

Hey so I bought a nice set of konig rims 17x8 and I’m trying to find tires to fit it nicely. I have a 2012 si and it’s lowered on eibach lowering springs. I don’t want any rubs and I don’t know what I’m looking for
You didn't mention offset. That will be a big factor in rubbing.

For tires I would probably go 225/45

Anybody who is looking to purchase wheels and isn't quite sure about fitment do yourself a favor and do your research first in regards to offset and how it works. You'll end up saving yourself headaches and money down the road.

Hi all! Been doing research for weeks and I still haven't been able to come to a conclusion yet regarding fitment on my 9th si sedan.

I am currently sitting on Eibach pro lowering springs, and I already have 18 inch wheels on it wrapped in 225/40/18 but would like to buy new ones. I am not sure on the current offset of my current wheels but would like to know if 18x8.5+35 on 225/40/18s would fit or would I be better with 18x8+35? Would really appreciate any help thanks!

If you look at the back of the wheel the offset should be stamped on the wheel. The difference between a 8 inch wheel and a 8.5 inch wheel will be tire size. A 225 tire will fit fine on a 8 inch wheel but 8.5 inch wheel a slightly wider tire like 235 will fit better. Also depending how low you are a wider wheel and tire combo will have a greater chance of rubbing.

If anyone is wondering what 18x8 +35 looks like with a 235/40 tire: pretty nice as long as you have stock suspension. I wouldn't lower it with this tire. But the. wheels/tires are off my old car and they're fairly new. So until I lower it, I'll wear these tires out. Car probably sits. 1/4-1/2 inch higher due to the tire. So I'm currently max off-road mode. I do like the wheel protection a 235 offers. I do mainly street parking.

I purchased some wheels and tires and had them installed today. They were 18” with contenential tires 235/40R18’s. After the install they look like snow tires. Already purchased these tires doubt I can return them. I wanted to have all four wheels slightly tucking. However, it’s rubbing bad on the left side rear. What tire size should I get? I daily the car didn’t want to go stretch tires wanted it to look good.
Any thoughts?

What are your wheel specs and if the car is lowered how much lower than stock. Post a pic of your current setup for reference.
I had the tech raise it up some in the rear but he didnt adjust the camber yet. I wanted a slight tire tuck

Should I have gone with an 8.5 instead?
