Agree with others suggesting 225 tire as a better fit on an 8" wheel but either will work. 215/40/18 is closer to oe size for the 2013 lx in question. And the 215 is approved for up to 8.5" wheel by the manufacturer.

Personally, I would never go more than 17s but that's just me.

Appreciate all the feedback, yeah I think we are going to go 17x7.5 +40 instead rim wise

When I bought my car previous owner had installed 225 40 on 18x9.5 rims. Being that I enjoy spirited driving (when baby isn’t in car), and have a young daughter having it be stretched is making me uneasy. I’m lowerd on Bc racing extreme lows, and would like to find the optimal tire set up for having fun on windy roads/optimal handling, and daily driving. Fenders are rolled, and I believe minimum drop for my coil overs is 1.5” or 2”. I found a really good deal on some 17x9 +34 konig ultraforms but am not sure if a squared set up is the best way to go with all the mixed and confusing info I have been reading through. If any one can offer some input it would be greatly appreciated. Ps i would be running 235 40 on the Konigs if I bought them.

For daily driving keep it simple go square setup and call it day.

Is 17x9 on 235s a good wheel and tire or you think smaller. Thank you for responding I apreciate it
235 is already a bit small on a 9 inch wide wheel I wouldn't go any smaller than that.

Hi everyone, new here! I recently bought a 2015 Sedan SI and just bought some new rims 17x8 5x114.3 35mm Offset with some tires 225/45R17. I wanna get some coil overs and have a few in mind. I would wanna drop 1.5 but I wanna know with my tire set up what would be best. I want my car to still be my daily driver with that in mind.

You should be fine with whatever you pick. That wheel is not too aggressive. If it rubs, you can raise it up a bit with the coilovers

I personally ran the same wheel and tire spec on Tein coilovers with no issues.

Looking to replace my stock wheels on my 2012 si coupe. Lightweight/visually pleasing is ideally what I'm going toward. Seen the gold enkei RPF1's that I like, will the 17x8s fit without any issues? Car is currently bone stock, but not for long. Also open to any suggestions for different possibilities of wheels.

Hi all, I recently purchased H&R Lowering Springs for my 13 Civic Coupe (not installed yet) and I was wondering what wheel/tire specs would give me a near flush fitment with the 1.5 inch drop? I have been looking into Enkei wheels, more specifically their Ts-5 model, but am unsure as to what size/offset to go with (I am debating between 17’s and 18’s). I want to be relatively low, but the springs I purchased won’t give me a huge drop. Ideally, I wouldn’t want to have to add spacers or modify the fenders to prevent any rubbing either.

Thank you so much, any help or advice is greatly appreciated. -atlas

Put a straight edge on the wheel, pointing up into the wheel well, and measure from the inside of the fender well to the back of the straight edge, you'll have your number.

If your tire is narrower than your wheel, take that difference into account.

Of course, being stock height you may not have a rubbing issue regardless of the thickness of the spacer.

Hi all, recently installed R17 7J ET55 Sparco wheels with 225/45r17 tires and stock height. can anyone suggest proper spacer sizes in front and back so that they never rub the fenders?
thanks.

Since stock wheels are ET45 I would suggest 15-20mm spacers since you are also running tires wider than stock.

So I have rims that are 18x9.5 +30 offset on 245/40/18. I have my fenders rolled and are currently on D2 coilovers but I want to upgrade to tru hart struts and shocks with skunk 2 springs. Wondering if this would rub or have enough clearance. Or if I would need to get smaller tires, but I love this meaty set up that I have. Anyone had experiences with the tru hart struts and shocks?
