Bluetooth Connectivity issues

Hey there, I'm having an issue that's more of a nuisance at this point.

Ever since updating my Pixel 3 to the latest version of android, I've noticed song titles no longer populate on either the touchscreen or the iMid and, my steering wheel controls to change tracks no longer works. What's even more strange is the touchscreen will display "No device connected" even while audio is playing through the speakers and the phone is paired to the Handsfreelink bluetooth. I've tried deleting the pairing and reconnecting but, the issue still persists. Any chance someone else out there might be experiencing the same thing and can help a dude out? I've tried browsing through the forums, google, and even Bing in search of a post that can explain what's going on. I should mention, I did not experience anything remotely similar to this until I updated.

Try unpair and than pair the phone again and see if that makes any difference.
Bluetooth function on my 2012 EX has been a crap shoot with samsung phones.
I have better function with samsung A10e.
But the song titles have never displayed on the iMid.

Try deleting the phone on the car side; then as kev says pair the phone again.
I have this same issue and haven't found a solution. I have a Pixel 3 as well. I have deleted my phone from the radio, did a factory reset on the radio, deleted the radio from my phone. Nothing works.
Found this on another forum. This worked for me.

SOLUTION:
  1. Enable Developer Mode
    1. Settings
    2. About Phone
    3. Find Build Number at the bottom and tap on it 7 times.
    4. Enter passphrase (if applicable)
  2. Change Bluetooth AVRCP Version
    1. Settings
    2. System
    3. Advanced
    4. Developer Options
    5. Under "Networking", change Bluetooth AVRCP Version to "AVRCP 1.3" (normally it is set to "AVRCP 1.5 (Default)")
    6. Reboot your phone
  3. Re-Add the phone to the car's Bluetooth
    1. Delete your phone from the car's Bluetooth system.
    2. Re-Add the phone to the car's Bluetooth system.

My wife's 2015 civic have Bluetooth connection issue too. His phone avrcp version was 1.5, and Default value is indicate to be 1.4. it's a refurbish LG velvet. Maybe that was change. And revert it to 1.4 seam to have sold her issue. Thanks to have posted it.

Doing this fixed the issue for me, but I did not need tore-add the phone. Simply restarting my phone after switching from AVRCP 1.5 to AVRCP 1.3 solved the problem. Thanks bud
