I need some help with bluetooth pairing. I have a 2012 civic ex. The first time I did it with my HTC Amaze android phone there were voice instructions. It said to make my phone discoverable and to select it in the car menu. Then when you click on it, to type in the pin shown on the car screen. This all worked.

But when I was troubleshooting how the phone autostarts music, I unpaired bluetooth from my phone. Now when I select the phone in the car menu, The car screen says connecting and the pin input screen shows up on my phone. But the car screen does not give me a pin to enter. I tried various numbers on the phone such as "0000" "1111" "1234" "4321" to no avail. Does anyone know how to completely reset the infotainment system on the car to factory defaults or how to solve this problem? Thank you.

On your phone you should be able to unpair the device from your car and then pair it again. Essentially your telling the phone to forget that you ever paired it with the car.

Delete the phone from the car and start over. Press the Phone button, when ask if you want to select a phone, press NO. Then go all the way down (I forgot the name) but you can manage and delete phone there.

Most useless statement.

Thanks you! I couldn't figure out how to delete the old bluetooth profile. Who'd have thunk you have to press "no?" They need to put this into the manual ASAP.

My Bluetooth has been working fine since I bought the car a couple weeks ago, until Friday when it just stopped working I have tried deleting, unpairing, and a factory data reset on the head unit still nothing is working. Tried my wife's phone which is the same as mine and hers has worked without any problems.
