I don't know if the 8th gen rails are the same as the 9th, but here's a link to a parts listing for the 2012 Si Coupe (base model) that may help you figure it out. Good luck:

The driver's side seat has integrated seat rails, you cannot purchase them separate from honda. If you look up the passenger side parts map, you can order the seat rails as its own part.
8th gen seat rails do not fit the 9th gen civic. I attempted to test fit a set of 8th gen seat brackets but it was too small + the shape and angle of the floor bends are not the same. You would need to modify the seat bracket and have it extended about 2 inches in length AND bend it to fit the shape.
Thanks for sharing your experiences. When you mention modifying the seat bracket are you talking about the stock bracket or a buddy club bracket? Does extending it two inches enable two bends that drop the seat? If not, how does the extension help? Talking about bending sounds like you are talking about the Buddy Club 8th gen bracket?
If I look for an upholstery/interior shop to perform a foam-ectomy for me, do you have any tips on what to look for? Any good ideas on how to find a place like this?
My first choice was the coupe but, even at 6', i had a hard time to fit there... I had to incline the seat at a position that was not confortable for me. That's one of the reasons i ended up with the sedan.
One option for you could be to go to an upholster that is specialised in car seats: they can do miracles :thumb:
