Adding a Second Battery





i dont want to buy a cap because they are useless....
i m only ganna use a 4 gauge wire...
let me know if this is ok ....so i can order it

You're asking your alt. to do double the work powering both batteries. Imo that's not a good idea. You need to get a 2nd alt or just a single high output one.

what if i i just get a 600 watt baterry...and add cap??

or lower watt battery....

Get two batteries it's not gonna strain your alternator.. Running big amps without a cap or a extra battery will slowly ruin ur alternator. However its a good idea to run 2 batteries that are the same. I run 2 hc600s with no problems. They've been in for about 3yrs

For those who are going for sounds systems with a bang, IMO caps are utterly useless unless your getting high ends $300+, rather get a second battery or performance alternator. To answer OPs question, no you don't need an additional alternator or performance alternator to run two batteries efficiently.

i have decided to the big three upgrades....but my question is can i use 100 amp in my inline fuse altermnato + battery...what is the alternator amperage??..
