Great thread, glad to see others as anal as me. I`ve only had my 9th Gen Si for almost two weeks, but I`ve washed it twice already, so here is my technic. I also use the two bucket method, with a Meguiar`s X3002 Microfiber Wash Mitt. I use Meguiar`s Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo and Conditioner. I spray the rims of my car with Meguiar`s Hot Rim Wheel Clear and let it sit while it does its job. Then I use a Mothers Wheel Brush to scrub my rims. Then I rinse the entire car with water, scrub the car with my Meguiars Wash Mitt. Once done I rinse again and then dry the car with Meguiar`s X2000 Water Magnet Microfiber Drying Towel, I also dry in straight lines and make sure the lines overlap. Once done I also try to use a leave blower to blow water out from the side mirrors and other hard to reach areas. Then I wipe the car down with Meguiar`s Supreme Shine Microfiber Towels just in case any water is left on the car or in hard to reach areas. Once I know the car is dry I`ll apply Meguiar`s Gold Class Carnauba Liquid Wax. Once that is applied and wiped off, I`ll go around the car again with a clean microfiber cloth just in case I missed a spot. I have not clay bared my car as it is new but before the winter hits I will.
