Not much has happened with the car the past few days.. mostly been focused on getting parts on order so i can keep wrenching. I think (fingers crossed) ive got 98% on its way.. im sure there will be a few loose ends

I pulled the rad and ac condensor out today. Condensor still had some pressure in it.. not much coolant left in the rad but it was a pleasant sight to see OEM fluid

The rads fan shroud is pretty buggared (pictured above) glad i ordered a new one.. however i probably could have fixed the ac shroud, just the one broken tab on it (pic below)

I also built a passenger side headlight

As i mentioned in my video before getting this car i had picked up a set of 2012 coupe headlights. They were cheap and i honestly prefer the zenki style over the kouki. Bring back amber! 馃槴

The passenger one had a badly damaged rear housing but the lens and reflector where still in great shape

My kouki 13 headlight (passenger) had a good rear housing.. well a better one. The lower bracket was MIA and it had a small crack. But it was nothing that was beyond fixable

So here it is (left) all done. 12 lens on the 13 backing. My drivers side 12 headlight was in excellent shape and needed nothing. On the right is the old discarded parts

Heres the bracket i replaced. I cut it off the old backing and epoxied it flush to its proper location on the "new" backing.

And this is the crack that was repaired. I drilled two small 1/16 holes at both ends of the crack, plastic welded it along its entire length and then added a top layer of epoxy to seal it up and ad a bit extra strength

Nice progress. You鈥檙e better off getting HS parts instead of oe parts especially if they鈥檙e back ordered

Sent from my iPhone 13 Pro while on the toilet.

I ended up ordering a progress 22mm RSB.

I also have rpf1s on the way.. no crash bolts yet, keep forgetting

Im considering putting the progress bar on my 8th gen si, and moving the 20mm bar from that car onto my fb6

You鈥檙e going to want the 24mm progress instead.

I tend to usually air on the small side for sway bars, with my driving style i find big bars can be a bit erratic.

I ran my 10th gen with stock sway bars and found that i had no issues getting it to step out if i wanted to, it was highly competitive for me so i didnt ever find the need to up size

But I suppose its all up to opinion and driving style, to each his own

I found the 24 to be too small. I鈥檓 used to 32mm bars on my hs mini. I think the asr bar is also 32 splined on the sts CRX and that gets more loose than my mini did.

The bar made sweepers a lot better. I鈥檝e yet to spin on autox courses with this bar. On track it鈥檚 more than enough.

Fair points, ive seen lots of rear sub frames tear off from big bars on EF/CRX's 馃ぃ

I definitely see the advantage for sweepers and slaloms. My local courses are so small we dont even really know what sweepers are... lol

Nice. I think you鈥檒l like the 8th better but it would have a tougher time on tight courses

Absolutely. Will be nice to have the versatility of both

Hows helmet clearance for you? Im not a very tall person and the 9th gen is pretty intrusive.

The only way i can clear is to go full 2PAC spec, not the most ideal position for aggressive driving

Helmet clearance is shit on every Honda I鈥檝e driven. You need to adjust the seat to fit it. I have short legs so I sit really close but have the back out a bit so mine doesn鈥檛 hit the top

In for a little update!

Interior has been fully detailed and its lookin good! I was also finally able to wash all the dirt off the outside.. i plan to do a paint correction down the line but for now ill just settle for it being clean

It has about 437 rock chips ill need to fill, thinking about trying the doctor color chip repair system.. anyone here tried it? Pretty pricey to ship up here to Canada. It also is severely covered in fallout.. ive ordered clay and iron x to deal with that!

I went to town the other day and picked up a bunch of parts, more still trickling in... yesterday i did an initial mock up of the front end and its looking pretty good however ive ordered a new passenger side headlight bracket as both of mine were bent!

For a easy to find option you can use Meguiar's ultimate wheel cleaner as an iron remover on paint. It has iron removing properties and actually works really well on the car.

I inquired at the dealership about cost of OEM shift knob and they quoted me something like $250 which is pretty insane.

I'm running the Firehawk Indy 500 on my wife's car. Dry grip is good, wet grip is okay a bit loud and ride is a bit harsh but drives nice on the highway. Good tire for the price.

First thing I did was get Weathertech floor mats they are invaluable keeping the car clean. I'm using 8thgen Civic sedan trunk liner fits perfectly on 9thgen.

I ordered an adams package off of amazon, but good to know for future use!

250 is actually a wicked price for that knob! 馃槼 list at my dealer was 415, i got it for 351.. ouch

Good to know on the indys, im used to dailying 200tw tires and ive even been known to daily NT01s.. lol. So noise shouldn't really be an issue to me

Yeah weathertechs are worth their weight in gold. Both my girlfriend and my moms Si's are running them as well

Removed the clutch delay valve today, is that HS legal? Nope. Do i care, nope lol

Its not something that will make me faster, but should give me more reliable 1-2 shifts and prolong that syncro's life

It was also the easiest time in the world to change, as the radiator is still out of the car
