Ok so I'm all screwed up lol. If you want sound and want to keep torque, you can do the RBB. Only things I recommend are: an insulating gasket between the injector base and RBB (so intake air isn't heated as much as it enters the combustion chamber and PRL's stock (or ZDX if that's what you're using) throttle body adapter to RBC

After jackin' around with my RBC and spending almost $3000 to get it in with supporting mods and tune I would recommend anyone thinking of doing this to save the extra money and go supercharged.

There are some people that wont go the rbc route anymore because of the torque loss. I myself amd happy with my rbc swap, but yes its alot of money for that ajd supporting mods

Most likely be cte. The past two days I have done a butt load of research on the cte and kraftwerks. Cte seems to have the upper hand. I want to go turbo but I don't have the confidence to install that myself and I'm fairly confident I can install supercharger myself. It will likely be a couple years before that so my mind may change.

Right on iv done a ton of reserch on the ct-e, k/w, prl, all excelent kits I was almost gonna go with the turbo till I looked into tapping the oil pan and I was like not gonna do that on my own. so I decided the supercharged rout would be the best way so I was stumbleing over what one to get. then one day wile researching I came across the tvs s/c by merc racing so i looked into it and talk to some ppl that new more about it and I was sold. Around 400 hp is expected with the kit and its supposed to be a pure bolt on like the ct kit and doesn't cost that much more eather so now I'm waiting for the kit to be released

Yah I also saw that kit and it intrigued me. If it is out and doing well at the time I am ready to buy then that could be the one. Hell a lot can happen in a couple years and I will reevaluate the situation at that time. Its taking all of my will power to not drop the cash and buy it now!

I am buying a used truck next week. I also have to finish my garage before winter so that will be more expenses. Also I had a baby boy 7 months ago and we have loads of doctor bills from him to pay. He has had some issues. He had a collapsed lung when he was born, his vocal chords are weak and they canceled throat surgery 3 hours before it was to happen but we still have to see a specialist for that and he also has a flat spot on his head and has to wear a doc band to correct it. Soooo we have doctor bills and specialist bills out our ears. :) that's why

I have the cash to buy it now but that's a fight with my wife I do not want to have. I jokingly told her I ordered a s/c kit for my car couple weeks ago when I actually ordered my sway bar. I told her I spent $3500 and she about lost it. So I will finish my garage and be happy with my RBC for a few years and go from there. Also I would like to OWN the car before dropping that kind of money into it. There is also plans of me becoming manager at my job within a year. That will come with a hefty raise. When/if that happens I will be doing it for sure then. More money, bigger bonuses....hell yah. My manager now is 71 years old!! He is about to call it quits....

Thanks man. He is growing fast and should be grown out of all this soon (hopefully). The time will come soon enough to s/c. When do you plan on going forced induction?

I was looking at Stage 2 w/ cooler and all the Vit goodies. That should get me around 330hp. With all that and a tune it is about $5000. But the Stage 1 kit runs about $3500. The stage one kit is advertised to gain 50-75hp. With you intake and exhaust you can net more.

2012+ Civic Si Supercharger Kit Key Features:
  • Stage 1 kits add 50-75 horsepower (depending on your modifications and what version you choose) to the wheels using the supplied tune for your 12+ Civic Si. This equates to about 260-290 total horsepower at the flywheel. With an intake, race header (downpipe), exhaust, and custom tune, you will definitely see even more power gains. For best results, a cold air intake is recommended, especially one that does not re-use any of the factory intake components.
  • The Stage 2 Plus kit will add over 100 wheel horspower (more with full bolt-ons and a good tune) to your 12+ Civic Si! An aftermarket intake that does not re-use factory intake components is required due to the increased boost pressure.
  • Stage 1 kits include 550cc injectors made by DeatschWerks. 750cc or 1000cc DeatschWerks injectors are included with the Stage 2 Plus kit. 1000cc injectors are only recommended for very high horsepower builds (please call us before ordering this option).
  • Very linear increase in boost as RPMs increase.
  • Stage 1 kits runs at at about 6-7 PSI of boost. The Stage 2 Plus kit runs at about 9 PSI.
  • Must use with a Hondata FlashPro (a CT/Hondata base map tune will be provided with Stage 1 kits only).
  • Very impressive mid-range and top-end performance.
  • Complete "bolt-on" kit, requires no other engine modifications.
  • Comes with carbon fiber fuel rail cover (see picture).
  • Standard Stage 1 kit (with the 3.8" pulley) should eventually be CARB Certified for street use in California.
  • Detailed and thorough installation instructions.
  • Installation time is only about 8 hours.
  • 2 year warranty on Stage 1 kits (using the provided tune).
