I have another question..............successfully uploaded three images to my i-mid but I still have a blank screen as I scroll through the menu items using the top menu button on the steering wheel. Is there anyway to keep the analog clock and a new uploaded image?

Not that I know of. It's clock OR wallpaper, not AND.

It's there in case you want a blank screen.

The clock is useless. The time is displayed on the screen. It makes no sense. Why make a digital analog clock? I think it looks cheap. Analog clock are nice in cars but that are usually real.

Also, if the Imid screen has photo quality, why is there a cartoonish analog clock displayed? Couldn't they make something nicer?

I know what you mean. As much as I prefer analog clock and watch faces, I cannot seem to keep the cartoony analog clock up on the imid.

the black screen is for any maintenance reminders, low gas, etc.

I don't like the way the clock stays in the middle of my picture. :(

Okay.....heard. Will sticky this too. We are in the process of adding more sub categories and better organizing our DIY section.

BTW: I configure my image size to 234 pixels X 480 pixels
I find that this smaller size allows the image to upload faster. I can now quickly change from one image to another at a red light. Also, the image quality is not compromised by making it this small.

The only question I have is: Is this the optimal small screen size? I don't want to waste any part of the screen not being filled up if you know what I mean. It seems there may be a small strip of black beside the image. I am wondering if that is because the image is not perfectly fitted or if it's because there are no pixels that light up that far to the side of the screen.
I'll have to try this smaller pixel picture trick out and see if it works for me too.
Thanks.

I can't get my 8MB Sony USB stick to read in my car to change the i-MID wallpaper. The import wallpaper is always blank and I can't select it. I use a mac and I reformatted the USB to MS-DOS (FAT32) with the disc utility and have 3 jpeg files all within 1920 X 936 pixels and less than 2 megabytes each. Has anyone had the same problem and got this to work?

^^^^

Tried the same thing with a Duracell 32GB USB also formated to MS-DOS (FAT32) on the Mac and it worked just fine. For some reason my car won't read the Sony USB drive.

Does anybody know how to make the Red SI screen that comes up when u get into the car into your wallpaper? Would it be easier just to find one online and load it?

I had this very same idea after playing Forza4 with a 2012 SI that has the imid screen with SI logo. I just did a google search for SI images, and the SI logo was one them. I uploaded it and it looks like Forza4 now.
