Hello everyone, I just bought a 2012 5- speed sedan and was wondering when you guys use the Econ button. I've read that some people only use it on the freeway.
Have you noticed any difference in mpg's or is it even worth it to use it?

Thanks...

What's this "econ button" you speak of?? :)

My advice is to use the econ mode for one tank of gas and another without. It's supposed to give you better mileage at the expense of acceleration and AC. If I truly cared about MPG I wouldn't have bought an SI and I would trade it in for a new Civic with a turbo that gets much better MPG. Or buy a hybrid.

Yeah I'm in the process of doing that right now. Filled up last week and got 401 miles on 11 gallons. It took 11 gallons to fill (Still had 2 gallons left until full)
Filled up again this week with the stupid Econ button on. I guess will see. As far as caring about MPG's...... I bought this Civic last week as a beater/drive to work car as was just curious about the Econ buton.
I save miles on my Infiniti that way.
