Ive been having serious issues with my 2012 1.8L. The indicators and washer pumps would randomly stop working once the car had been driven a bit. When trying to restart the car the immobiliser would not allow the car to start (with a green flashing key on the dash).

Visual inspection of all plugs in the area look ok.
MICU looks ok.
When checking voltage from pins, there is ground, CAN-BUS appears to be reading the correct resistance and has the correct voltages.
I have unplugged and checked and cleaned all MICU and ECU ports.
I have checked all accessible earth straps and earth to the immobiliser pin appears to be very good (no resistance)
There is nothing aftermarket on the car.

Putting a new battery in the car did fix this issue temporarily however its now back. (battery reads 12.8V) and 14.something when driving.

I think that this is a control side issue with all three failing controls being on the steering column/combination switches , does anyone have any ideas of what i could try next or if they feel that it could indicate an ECU or MICU failure.

Thanks for reading

Thanks for the reply. I have taken it twice to an auto-electrical garage as the fault is intermittent or appears to disappear when the car "cools down" they have not been able to diagnose it. i have tried on several occasions to get an autoelctrician out but they have either bailed on me or are booked up for months, I feel that they are super busy and just want easy work rather.
