That is not a valid excuse (to the wifey anyways) to sell our house and move further out. I don't mind the extra drive, but she values being 5 minutes from work. I could hear that conversation now.... you wanna sell the house and move in order to skate emissions hahahahahahahaha!!!!!!

im required to pass OBD every year. I have the CT supercharger, no cats. and every other bolt on imaginable lol. I have passed twice so far. Yes you can activate your secondary O2. its not going to hurt the car. ..............but dont be a complete moron and test the limits of this. Just drive like a human being. Dont activate it the day before inspection, your car needs more time to set readiness. Your EVAP tests will only run when the fuel is 3/4 tank or less.

Youll need a defouler in the secondary o2 sensor as well.

so make sure all the emissions things are enabled, then drive the car. Its going to take at least 3 days of driving cycles. meaning starting with a cold car everytime. so drive around, park for the night, drive again the next day. Those are complete cycles. And it takes a couple for the EVAP to set.

You can check the readiness with flashpro by having it plugged in to the car and a laptop while running, go to ONLINE>OBDII DIAGNOSTICS. and youll see readiness monitors.

or a quick way to see if ALL of them are set and good to go. turn your key to the ON position, wait for the check engine light to go out, then a few seconds later see if the check engine light starts flashing. If it does, they are NOT set. If it doesnt you are good to go!

Problem i face now is my clutch and flywheel i just installed, it requires misfire to be turned off. I need to try to get the dealer to relearn my crank sensor pattern. See if that works. as it sits now, it wont pass next year unless i install the factory clutch

Well that's good to know. I believe clutch masters offers a clutch for our car that apparently works without using fp to disable misfire detection, I am pretty sure it's clutch masters but the reason why it throws a check engine light with the clutch is because of the weight difference in the flywheel with most of these aftermarket clutches from what I understand. So I figure you won't want to buy another clutch but that is an option I would think (I still haven't seen any reviews for their clutches on the 9th gen but someone somewhere has to of tried them)

It seems that a nice and subtle explanation of emissions readiness doesn't make a clear point to some. So let me be BLUNT.

Do not email, pm or text me in regards to passing or "fudging" your readiness monitors on your modified vehicle using a device sold as OFF-ROAD USE ONLY. We CANNOT (legally -- these are federal regulations, not state level) and WILL not support this for applications that are clearly used on the road., nor will we be replying to such inquiries, sorry.

You chose to modify your vehicle out of your own volition, and we are happy to improve your vehicle's performance and drivability.

I wonder what percentage of your customers use as "Off-Road" only, track or drag I'm assuming, since a Civic is the furthest from an off-road vehicle out there. I guess a portion of these also do not have to adhere to the Emissions depending on the county they live. For the others that do have to pass Emissions, what do you suggest when this issue arises? Turn to the forum where others have experienced this?

From a potential future customer... thanks :)

Tuning devices in a vast majority are all sold as off road use only, the ones that aren't haven't had the feds catch on to them yet -- there have been companies providing tuning software that have been shut down by the feds for being a party to violating the clean air act. The problem isn't the devices being available to modify and tune the car -- the problem is when someone goes "Vit what do I need to do to pull of such and such", etc. If I reply with "blah blah", now I'm a party and can be held liable.

Hondata clearly lists the device is off road use only, and that they cannot support the device in regards to the emissions systems (the FlashPro does not touch them it leaves them working just like OEM) -- I certainly can't provide support for something the manufacturer doesn't.

So cliff notes: you're on your own, or seek help from parties not affiliated with any tuning/ems organization (IE: no one's going to go after your friend working out of his garage, lol).

Thanks for the non-blunt version! I appreciate the response...

Hopefully enabling the secondary o2 sensor a week or so before inspection and doing lots of driving will allow the readiness monitors to set. I have inspection coming up at the end of the year and am gonna have to try this or return to stock.

Anyone have success with doing what I'm talking about or am I in for a surprise?

Can someone tell me how to go back to the stock tune? I cant pass inspection and im currently about halfway done with getting tuned by Vit, so I assume that has something to do with it. The mechanic said I just needed to perform a drivecycle but ive driven 300 miles and it still wont pass. So I figure going back to stock for a week or so should do the trick!

There's an option to unlock flashpro and return the car to stock. I can't think of where it is off the top of my head but its in there somewhere.

Plug flashpro into your pc and open flashpro manager, go to the online drop down menu towards the top left. The option to return ecu to stock and unlock flashpro from the vehicle are here. I assume you return the ecu to factory before unlocking it from the vehicle. Not sure of the exact sequence but im sure at some point you will have to plug flashpro into the car to flash it back to factory.

Great thanks for the help guys! I used the ONLINE dropdown and just clicked the option to RETURN ECU TO STOCK. I didn't unlock it though because ill still be using it for my car. The priority right now is to just pass the inspection. Now just hoping that 100 miles or so completes a drive cycle so I have no problems with inspection

Even though I flashed my car back to stock 10 days ago, It still runs exactly like before. Once all the readiness monitors are set will the car then run like stock? I did check my codes and they still are not set. It still runs like its tuned.
