I think I posted in the wrong forum
I'm new here, and apologize for the duplicate

I am worried I've damaged the MAF
does the 2014 civic have to relearn fuel mapping when the battery has been changed?

I was doing service: motor oil, trans (manual), anti freeze, new battery, and brake/ clutch bleed

I had the MAF unplugged/out, and made the mistake of turning the key on to record the mileage and fill oil filter
all of the check engine lights came up immediately and I realized what I had just done

I shut the car off, put it all back together
pulled the battery cable for 15 minutes and restarted the car
no check engine lights

however it doesn't run right
in 1st gear (barely noticeable in higher gears)
if you leave aggressively and with heavy throttle
the car pulls normal until about 2800rpm. it stutters.. .or bucks...
after getting up to 3100rpm everything clears up and it pulls hard again

did I damage something?

or will the computer relearn driving habits and full throttle acceleration?

I've driven a few miles, warmed it up and its still there?

thanks for any help or guidance
I'm not sure where to start

I should add one more detail.
when doing all of the service (air box out for trans fluid change) I did discover a crack in the air boot

the car was not hesitating or stuttering prior to my service. Not sure if the boot was cracked prior or if my efforts to remove the air box caused the crack.

so I put a brand new HONDA air boot on the car at reassembly.
and then on the test drove found the new symptom of stuttering (with the new boot on)

brant

I did that as part of the service
it has a brand new boot (factory honda part)
I can pull it again and check, but it was definitely not cracked when I installed it a few days ago

Oh sorry, I forgot how to read. I would check boot again, and maybe reset battery again. Is it throwing any codes?

zero codes.

I'll definitely pull the new boot and check again since that could be a similar symptom
will do that tonight

do you know if there is an ECU learning period on a civic? How many miles that should take?
