hey,
I just installed a plm down pipe and rear motor mount. the exhaust rattles a lot throughout the car. will installing the upper mounts and poly exhaust hangers get rid of the rattle? or is the downpipe the whole problem. I know this pipe is known to be a rough fit but should I just oppt for a different one? help me decide please

Find out where the exhaust is hitting the heat shield. Bend that part of the heat shield or trim it. Rattle should be fine.

Stiffer exhaust mounts help but the best thing to limit how much can touch the exhaust

@jn2k108 I'll have to take a look. A shop installed the exhaust so I'll see if they can help.

i brought it to the shop and the excessive shaking has gone down but not away. hopefully with more mods I will feel less vibration. they only took care of the exhaust shield

i would recommend the torque solution exhaust hangers regardless, they really keep the whole exhaust in place with little to no movement at all. The stock hangers are extremely soft.
