Hey guys, I have a 2012 si coupe and it misfired when I was revving it in neutral, blinking engine light, I turned it off and on again and it was fine. I haven't had this problem since I got the car in October 2109 which I found out my dad was putting 87 in it and it needed 91+ and ever since then I've been putting 93 in. Any clues on why its misfiring? I have no mods its bone stock.

In my experience the Si will run fine stock on 87 octane. I ran 87 for thousands of miles, had a company gas card that only paid for 87. I did have a RV6 downpipe on it (untuned). It did get worse MPG, and felt slightly slower, but no other issues.

What cylinder(s) did it missfire on? Does it missfire still?

Pull the engine code and report back.
How many miles on the car? Has the car been properly maintained otherwise?
Im thinking it could be time for plugs and/or coil packs...

If this just happened once then it's likely an intermittent issue and I wouldn't worry about it.
If it comes back then pull the code and report back.
