Good day all you wonderful people!

I am a first time Honda Civic owner... well going to be. I have just secured a 2015 Honda Civic EX CVT with around 90000 kms on the clock and will be picking her up on the 31st of January from a Honda dealership.

What I would like to know is there anything I need to look out for when it comes to issues or maintenance?
What is the vehicle like with regards to driving in snow, ice? (Recently moved from South Africa to Canada)

My previous vehicles:
VW Citi Golf 1992
VW Golf MK2 1986
Chevrolet Aveo Sedan 2007

Thanks so much!

Welcome to 9th gen.

CVTs can be a bit troublesome, as evidenced in many threads here. To begin, ensure that the dealership changes the CVT fluid because chances are that the the PO didn't. If there are no driving issues with the CVT, continue to change the fluid every 30k miles and you're less likely to develop issues.

Driving in snow and ice depends primarily on the tires. Where you live and how much snow you get are also factors. Some swear by winter tires. For the short and inconsistent snows we get where I live, I have always had good results with good all-seasons. On solid ice nothing is gonna offer great grip so drive accordingly.

When purchasing a used vehicle change all fluids asap.

How a vehicle drives on snow is primarily dependent on your tires if snow is a concern buy yourself a set of quality name brand snow tires.
