I just got into my car to drive home and my audio system was asking for a pin. The audio is off, and the red light is blinking. I never set up any pin, nor did I do anything different than I normally have done since I've owned this car. It won't even eject the CD I have in the unit!

What the freakin hell??

So, yesterday morning, when I got into my car, it was doing the same thing. I put in a pin that would have used if I had set one up [and forgot I had], and of course, it didn't work. But it was saying something about "navigation lost power". I wish I had taken a picture of it now....but didn't think of doing that. But it also mentioned holding the power button down for two seconds, so I did. And it "fixed the problem". I was able to use the system again.

I really have no idea what happened or why.........or why holding the power button made it to work again. The only thing different was that the volume was at zero. My settings set for Bass, Treble, and balance were the same as before. 🤷‍♀️

There is an audio code for anti theft purposes. If the radio is removed or loses power for a period of time it will ask you for the code.
It should be written down in your owners manual. It's set from honda and cannot be changed by the user.

But holding the power button allowed me to use it again. I'll look in my user manual next time.

But that does bring up another issue. Is my radio dying?
Same thing has happened to me several times, after disconnecting the battery. Happened once from a loose terminal also.
I don't have the code, but have been lucky with the power button. I'd check the battery for loose connections first.

Usually, your pin codes are located on stickers on the inside of your glove compartment, placed there by the dealer.
