Hi guys i have a question about wheels for my 2014 White civic SI coupe. This summer i will need to change my finish tire for new one and why not maybe change my wheels too. So the question is what do you think look the best.

1- keep the oem one with new tire
2- aftermarket wheels (tsw sebring matte black 18x8.5 ET40) with new tire.
3- I can get a set of new 2022 civic si 18" black with the oem tire all new never used.
4- keep the oem and painted them black with new tire on.

thanks i don’t know what to do ….

Ps: i’m currently on stock height and plannin’ to stay stock height ….

Like Kev said thats a personal choice, there’s just so many options and everyone likes different things - there are several sets of ‘commonly used’ aftermarket wheels many others use that we all know will look good with a certain size/ offset/ suspension (Enkei RPF1’s for example) but that’s just the tip of the iceberg > NOW, you did state that you plan to stay stock height/suspension and for that reason I would stay with stock wheels - if the finish on them is bad then you could look into getting them refinished, or could paint them as you mentioned, or could pick up a ‘newer’ set that are in good condition which I believe you also mentioned… What color is your car? If I was you I would clean up/refinish your stock wheels (if they don’t have any bends or blemishes) and then invest in a really nice tire to hug them ~ if you get bored with the look you could plasti-dip them (so you can change color whenever you want), aftermarket set of lug nuts sometimes can add a little flair, spacers… Best part is you can do/have all these little things to change the look and even performance of you car for little to no money (look on the buy/sell forums for used stuff like this you can get for dirt cheap) and then if all else fails and you don’t like the ‘minor’ changes THEN you can always invest in a different set of aftermarket wheels or maybe some lowering springs to help things mesh a bit better.
IMO the stock wheels for most 9th gens look pretty good - I would still have mine on if they weren’t all freaking bent making for a harsh/bumpy ride so I had to get a set of CHEAP ‘off the shelf’ aftermarket wheels and I’m 50/50 on them, like for what they are they’re not terrible they look ok and the finish is decent but they’re super heavy and I didn’t have much choice in color and style (needed something right then and there to get on the road) so anyways I just feel like if you want to change the look of your car wit some wheels then save your money and do it right OR preserve your car in its stock form, take care of it and it’ll still be meaningful
wow … yes, I just typed all of that 😳 🤣

I just prefer OEM because of the ride. I had wheels for a while and I hated them. Went back to stock and it just felt so much better.

I have the Eibach pro-kit on my 2012 and it feels like stock. In fact, I get a lot of compliments on how comfortable the ride is.

Some speed bumps do cause me to scrap my mudguards a little, but it's nothing crazy, I just hit them at a slight angle and it's minimal. Same with steep driveways, just gotta hit them at an angle.

I do have a little negative camber in the rear but it's actually good to have a little of that. I just rotate my tires a bit more often.
