Motor vehicle Automotive exterior Gas Auto part Nut


Was about to change my battery when I noticed two holes on the intake hose or whatever it's called....not sure what happened here but looks like two holes due to heat or something. Anyone know what may of caused this and is it a easy fix? It's on the intake hose. Fml please help

Yeah those holes are pre-filter and MAF sensor so they won't affect how the car runs.

It's not an issue that requires an immediate fix. That's just a chamber that works like a resonator on the pipe that's pulling up air from a cooler spot.

Would be interesting to know what happened though...

You can go OE from a dealer, or check out the "You pull parts" scrap yards in your area.
I got a pristine hood for $50 off a LX Sedan that hit a curb or turtle or something last month. (Everything from the front bumper down was mincemeat... no idea how the hood was undamaged, lol)
car-parts.com searches most scrap yards in the US, but I just tried and it does not take Canadian Zip Codes.
Maybe there is a CA version of that site though?
