Just started tuning with VIT via Etune, did first datalog and uploaded initial calibration. Question was my rev hang was completely eliminated and noticed vtec is extremely higher, will Vit fine tune and extract the power gains via every datalog sent to him? I'm used to standalone systems and never used this found if extremely interesting thanks

Normal driving datalogs are to dial in the part throttle fuel trims. For wide open throttle, he will give you multiple calibrations for back-to-back 3rd gears pulls to redline. By comparing the WOT logs he will determine the optimal cam timing across the rpm range.

Once a calibration is uploaded to your ecu you just use the car like you normally would, it is stored in the ecu.

Hey guys i had a question.
I already got a decent tune from vit. Im thinking of getting an exhaust cut out now and using only sometimes. if i do a couple pulls with the cut out open, do u guys know if there would be a negative impact on performance due to its already tuned for it having a catback?

It depends on who is responsible for the tune/calibration. FlashPro is simply as means with which to tune the car.
If you are asking about the calibrations that Hondata includes with the FlashPro, it has historically been said that they weren't exactly the cat's meow. I can't speak to whether the new revisions are any good.
However, it is generally excepted that getting a custom tune (through Vit or someone else) will be more beneficial since the calibration is geared toward how you drive and the environment in which you drive. A "canned" tune can't compensate for that.

I'm not 100% sure on this, but I believe he has to revert his car back to stock and unlock it in order for you to use it.

It might help with some tuning, but there's no guarantee. Like many people, it's possible that you are driving the car harder since getting the exhaust in order to hear it more .

That said, if you're running no cat, there is likely a lot of optimization that can be done, especially since running stoichiometric is no longer a requirement.
