what dose it mean when VIT asks you to do "spirited driving" datalog ?
should I floor It all the way .?
Feel free to stay in gear through the higher ranges of the tach a bit more than you would during conservative driving, some amount of engine braking, just basically having a fun time with it. Go get up to speed plenty quickly (AND safely!) on a freeway on-ramp. Goof around a lil bit. It's supposed to be fun if you're doing it right... He prolly won't be mad if you include a third gear pull like usual.

Something I've wondered for quite some time is this... If you flash a calibration to your ECU, does it basically reset any stored diagnostic history? I've heard stories of people taking their cars into Honda and they end up refusing to work on it because they checked the ECU and it showed they "abused" the car. Is this likely a true story?

EDIT: I don't need to worry about this, I'm just curious. Sounds like a good way to void your warranty, though.

hey guys if someone could help me get this figured out...im trying to upload a calibration to the flashpro usb so i wont have to to take the laptop but everytime i click upload once i chose my calibration a notice window pops up saying "this flashpro can only be used with civic si 2012/ILX 2013 americas vehicles. The current vehicle is an unknown" I feel like its tryin to read whats hooked up to the obd end but obviously nothing since im just tryin to upload it to the usb unit itself. Can someone shed light on my issue?

This has happened to me before. What I did was reconnect it to the car run a quick data log and then connect it back to the computer. For some reason the data was corrupted where the car info should have been and the flashpro couldn't see what car I had. Once I re-connected it to the car and recorded a data log with it, all was well.

Hope that helps

Anyone else just use their laptop + flashpro + car to load up the tune? My flashpro used to always flash my calibrations just fine, but recently almost every other time I try to use only the flashpro unit alone to load the cal, it fails and i have to disconnect my battery and re-do everything with the laptop again anyways.

Anytime I experience uploading problem, I do the following: (hasn't failed me yet)

**Check for FP updates** **"ON" is not "START"**
1. Cycle the key to OFF position, disconnect USB from FP, cycle key to "ON" position, insert USB then check FP on laptop for connection.

2. Cycle the key to OFF position, disconnect USB from FP, disconnect FP from OBD2 port, reconnect FP to OBD2 port, cycle key to "ON" positon, insert USB then checkFP on laptop for connection.

3. Restart laptop, then do #1 or #2

***I have never had to disconnect my battery, ever!***

Hope this helps you MeeSh!

Interesting... i'm assuming you're using the "Save As" option to download your DL to your computer? Either way, i'd double check for a firmware update.

yes I use that option, any way I couldn't sleep without sending vit a DL and then It turns out there was something wrong with the DL it self.
so I just datalogged another run.

Been trying to get a hold of Vit with a few questions about ordering a
FP + Ultimate tune, haven't had much luck.

Hopefully he'll see this post.

New member, 2014 I Coupe.
what do you need to know? are you having a problem ordering? there are plenty of us that have tuned with Vit and can answer your questions. his website is pretty straightforward for ordering.

Just some basic stuff.

In a thread on here he posted about a tune on a stock Si gaining 20 wheel hp.
Is that bone stock, airbox and DP?

And there was another comment that a tune disabled the knock sensor.

And yes, I did have trouble adding FP/tune to my cart, but that's OK now.

I plan on leaving my 2014 Si all stock and like the idea of a 20 hp gain
and better driveability.

i assume you are referring to this thread?

the car was all stock, no modifications at all. getting a tune is great but just keep in mind the costs

no reason to disable the knock sensor during tuning. Vit will do a knock analysis to make sure the car is running properly.

The cost is $850 with tunes until the car is right, a bargain to me coming from sport bikes

I read that in some other thread, didn't make sense. That's why I asked.
