Hondata Flashpro Info Request

Hi everyone,

In the thread regarding the release of the Full Race Turbo Kit for the 9th, we have been wondering about tuning solutions. I think it's safe to bet that we want the best tuning solution possible and for Honda that equals Hondata. (I had a Flsahpro for my 08si and it was the best mod hands down).

Hondata has been pretty quiet on releasing any info on plans (if any) for the 2012 Si/Non Si. There are rumors etc, but lets get something solid.

This thread is to encourage all those who would like to use the Flashpro again or for the first time to head over to Hondata's forum to show interest. If anyone is a member over at the other 9th civic site, please post this up so we can get the ball rolling quicker:vtec228:

Here is a link to the thread started by our very own Campton - thx again Campton.

From what I've heard, flashpro for the 8th gen R18 will work for us.
Will flashpro improve the performance of a stock Si?
Contacted Hondata over the holidays and they said

We are always looking at future possibilities, but at this time There is nothing immediately on the horizon.

That is sad, but I believe we might be out of luck considering what may happen to next years Civic even though the performance part should stay the same. Sigh, why must companies not help a brotha out
I'm not ready to give up hope yet..there might be some changes to the 1.8L but I doubt the Si will change...all speculation at this point, but with guys like full race and others developing kits, parts etc I doubt Hondata would ignore us.

They sold sooo many flashpro's to all types of 8th gen modders. From stock to bolt ons to full builds including FI. I bet a conservative estimate would be 80%+ of those who are tuned are using Flashpro.

If they don't release one it will force me to shy away from doing any engine mods, I hope that's not the case I want that FR Kit in the baddest way!

I would be surprised if anyone else put out a tuning solution that is as user/tuner friendly and comprehensive as Flashpro, if someone does- awesome- but I will not settle for some second rate EMU.
It may take a while but I'm pretty sure Hondata will come out with something for our 9thgen.
I hope so, rev hang is the dumbest thing ever invested. The person who invented this should be shot. :)
From Hondata :

We will not comment on future products or work in progress with regards to features, release dates or any other information.

While we accept that this can be frustrating to some vehicle owners, past experience has shown us that the premature release of information has a strong negative effect on our work here at Hondata.
This is all good from where I sit. They said the same for the 8th gen and it came out, plus it doesn't say that there WONT be one right?

I am choosing to read between the lines on this one..its too bad they won't confirm its release but this is better than nothing..

Unfortunately for companies selling engine parts I wont invest in anything until Hondata gives us more details.
also remember SI's are very rare still, with production of them still not being enough...im sure once SIs become more available there will be more parts, and tuning solutions...besides i doubt honda will mess with the K24 at all..since it is still a good motor
Im wondering what every happened to the aem-ems system. Hondata that much better?

We need to be patient. I rather wait a little bit longer and make sure that they get the most out of our engines.
I'm ready too. Just want it to be right the first time.
pleeeeeeeease Hondata...I want my FR turbo kit!!
the mid model change for the civic is coming up but the engine on the new civic coming out isnt changing as far as i know cause that wont be till the major model change in the next 4 or 5 years that the engine changes again, so whenever flashpro comes out should work for our cars and the new model coming out next year. I would love to get my hands on flashpro

Agreed. I don't think the revised civic is a big concern anymore. Fp and other items coming out faster is our deal
