If I keep the fan speed constant and turn the temperature A/c knob half-way in the Blue region vs. if I turn it all the way in the Blue region, does it change anything in terms the load the A/c puts on the engine, and thus the mileage? I am talking about the normal A/c mode (not Max A/c) on a 2012 Honda Civic LX.

if i recall, if the A/C is on...it's on. Max A/C is a bit different.

you don't mention the ambient temperature and humidity level of the air you are trying to cool.

the amount is so little that i wouldn't' sacrifice comfort for maybe 5-10 miles further per tank that you might be saving. the car gets good enough mileage.. that is such a minuscule amount, it's not worth it......to me.
