Does the Torque solutions kit fix the rattling? Mine now rattles worse than a Ducatti dry clutch.

Somewhere around the muffler. My cat has a little rattle as well. Has since new. Not super stoked. Not sure if it is normal for the RV-6.

My rv-6 never rattled. Then i think my rattle is the Cat. Still i didn't want to change another part so soon

Any rattling issues with the q300 on a 9th gen Si sedan? I read some people had rattle issues?
Without stiffer mounts most likely you'll have a rattle.

Swapped my N1 for Q300 with another 9th gen.
What a sizable difference!

fyi for those who don't know, the invidia's 2.75" piping is the same for the N1 and Q300, therefore the axle-backs are interchangeable. It's a shame invidia doesn't sell just the axleback portion alone.

Hey Guys,

I have a question that i hope someone can help with. I have the invidia N1 on my 2015 fg4. It was rattling so i bought new hangers and that seemed to fixed my issue. However, a couple months later the rattling came back? I attached an image of where the exhaust seems to rattle. My car is lowered on coilovers? could that have anything to do with the issue? n1.jpg

Thanks.

Most likely the exhaust is rubbing the rear spring. My full race system did that on my tein coilovers. The rear spring is wider diameter than stock.

After 3 years with the Q300 my feelings are pretty mixed.

The Positive:
Ideal exhaust for a daily driver. It stays pretty quiet in town when you want to be discrete, and when you're driving hard it provides a nice subtle baritone to compliment the screaming vtec induction sound.

The piping itself is very high quality. After 3 years of salty NY winters the exhaust hasn't even developed surface rust (except on the gaskets.)

The Negative:
The design of the Invidia exhausts causes significant droning at 3k RPM especially off throttle, this can be irritating on long highway drives.

As many others have discussed, the axleback will rattle against the heat shield when the exhaust gets hot.

The midpipe hangs extremely low. If you're even moderately lowered (~2 in) this will scrape pretty often. I'd imagine the stance people probably can't even use this exhaust.

Gasket's have a very short life span. I didn't expect to have a gasket fail within a few years of ownership. Not a huge deal, but not really acceptable at this price point.

Overall I'm happy with the Q300. Its a much nicer sound than stock that won't get you in trouble with your neighbors or the police. That said, I get the impression that Invidia rushed to make the Q300 compatible with our cars and left some pretty annoying oversights. The result is a very high quality exhaust with a few low quality problems.

I'd agree with Mr. Tentacles. I've got like two inches of drop and my mid pip is destroyed. The 3k vibration also syncs up with something lose in my b pillar that annoys me to no end.
