ZY..any recourse??
I purchased a brand new (4 miles on odometer) 2015 Civic EX sedan on July 16th. I currently have 1909 miles on it. There continues to be this subtle jerkiness/shudder with, what I am assuming,
is the CVT!? When I am driving along at 45-50, let up on gas pedal, than hit the pedal against, this is this slight jerkiness that is bugging the heck of me and sometimes there is a subtle chunking
noise too. Also, when coming to a stop right around 5-8MPH, there is a slight jerk forward. I took my car back to the dealer last month, met with the service manager and had the CVT tech do a
full evaluation and they determined the CVT is behaving normally and that I am being "too particular"!
The problem is in the dozen of Professional You Tube reviews for the 2014/2015 Civic, NOT A SINGLE reviewer ever mentioned this issue! Wouldn't you think that a professional reviewer would
pick up on the jerking issue? No, NOT one did. The car in very unenjoybale to drive and feels very unrefined and sloppy. The best way to describe this is its like I am driving a standard transmission and I am not giving the car enough car between shifts. This CVT, assuming that is the issue, just feels weak and like it would never make it to 150,000 miles and beyond.
I know that the 2013 Accord had this issue and there was a software upgrade that solved the problem, but the service manager tells me there
is no such upgrade for the 2015 Civic, its just normal. I don't believe this. I drove a 2014 Corolla for a week and that CVT was smooth as butter.
What recourse do I have?? Take it to another dealer for another full evaluation? I really dont enjoy driving the car at this point and wish I can
turn it in, but that is not very feasible, I suppose.
Thanks!
