My 2013 si has developed an oil leak, but and I’ve found where the leak is, but don’t know the name of the part. View attachment 496929 I

why is all that oil on the axle shaft and nowhere around the areas you indicate.

have you considered it's the axle seal?
The first picture with the uv dye showed the area i circled being the highest point where i can see oil. I’ll look into the axle seal as well.

by the color of the oil, it looks like its coming from the transmission.

if you also look you see the oil that has splattered all over the rubber hoses in the back.
That would not happen unless it was caused from a high pressure line blowing or the centrifugal force of the axle spinning that threw it off.

if its not the axle seal, I would look for a source above the axle thats dripping down on it.

pull your filler plug on the side drivers side of the trans, and stick your finger in, if its dry its definitely transmission fluid.

if its low, best to add some fluid before you kill your gearbox.

I honestly do not think that’s oil. More debris would stick to it if it was oil unless if it’s an active leak.

The only thing I can think of in that area that would leak are the coolant hoses going to the heater core.
