I have a 2014 lx civic sedan.

I looked into sylvania and piaas but in all the reviews, people mention the bulbs burning out.

Why is it that the stock bulbs can last forever yet these bulbs will only last a finite amount of time?

Is it because the stock low beam is 51W whereas most aftermarket bulbs are around 60W?

I dont need anything superbright, just brighter than the stock ones.

A worker at a local car parts shop told me Sylvania silverstar and silverstar ultra dont last long cause they actually draw WAY more wattage than their packaging claims. he said the Ultra’s actually draw 100w, almost 2x what packaging tells you.

From what I've gathered from my experience, you don't want to go "too bright" as they generally require more wattage, which leads to burnout. I had some Phillips bulbs, and while they were great, they burned out around a year of usage. I'm basically stuck with stock unless I do a retrofit.
